Cape Town – South Africa with Beacon Holidays

On a clear day waking up in Cape Town can be a really special experience. Set against the backdrop of the Table Mountains , breakfast at the waterfront with the blue skies is like God smiling down on you.

On your holiday our recommendation would be to stay here for at least 4 nights if not more… there is so much to see and do and so much to EAT!

There are a number of hotel options but some of the special experiences are Table Bay hotel….beautiful rooms, breakfast parlour with a view of Table Mountain, perfect location at the waterfront and of course the high tea and pianist in the lounge…

Try the One and Only hotel for some special treatment

Or the Taj in Cape Town , especially if you want to spoil yourself at the spa with an authentic treatment and have all your dietary requirements looked after vegan, vegetarian or Jain they can do it all.

Stay a while at The Last Word Constantia in the chic end of town. This boutique property has Eight luxurious and stylishly appointed suites offer unconventionally spacious accommodation, extraordinary comfort and open onto private patios leading to the garden and pool.

Spend a day going up to the table mountains, and if you have the opportunity check the weather during your stay to pick the best day. Ride up the cable car and you’ll get some stunning view of the city.

Drive out to Cape point the Southern most tip of Africa….you can see the difference in the colour of the water where the 2 oceans meet. Take a moment to feel the vastness of the world…where the ocean goes on till the horizon. while driving out meet some enterprising locals selling you the air from southern most tip of africa in a can!

A must see and do is a tour to Robben Island , the prison where Nelson Mandela was held for years . Impossible to break out because of its location in the middle of the ocean and treacherous waters that couldn’t be swam across. The tour of the prison is one of the most moving stories of South Africa, your tour guide will be an ex prisoner of the jail and will give you real life stories and experiences to take home with you. remember to book this tour in advance and not leave it for the last day as you may not get on.

Walk though Bo Kaap and the colourful houses …

Cape Town has some beautiful flavoured restaurants, try the water front for an array of sea food experiences…. Mama Africa for an interesting cafe experience with coke bottle chandeliers and graffiti restrooms.

Just a glimpse of what you can find in Cape Town…
